In 1977, the concept of Biogenics, the “genesis of life,” was created with my first major book, 9O DAYS TO SELF-HEALTH. Initially this included a major “software” program for biofeedback and cassette tapes of a number of the mental exercises. Over the ensuing decades our research has expanded so that I can comfortably state that AVERAGE life expectancy should be 100 years IF one chooses a healthy lifestyle---
Eat wisely, avoid tobacco and street drugs, exercise daily, keep weight within the ideal and BE POSITIVE.
There are a number of tools that assist this process and, indeed, by adding a few techniques, I believe average life expectancy can be a healthy 140 years. See FIVE SACRED RINGS for details.
A truly wise lifestyle includes:
- Be positive. My book 90 DAYS TO STRESS-FREE LIVING provides Biogenics exercises as a foundation for dealing with all unfinished emotional issues. Eighty-five percent of depressed patients who follow this program after initial non-drug therapy remain out of depression. Great tool for all people.
- Magnesium deficiency is epidemic. Everyone with normal kidney function will benefit from magnesium supplements. Oral magnesium is notoriously poorly absorbed. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR OPTIMAL HEALTH, BASICS FOR EVERYONE
DIET:
Emphasize fruits, vegetables, nuts and a wide variety of flesh foods (fish, beef, chicken, pork, etc)
Whole grains in moderation; potatoes and starches in moderation
Butter and NEVER margarine; butter, olive oil and coconut oil are the major added fats to be used.
One to two eggs daily, unless you have FAMILIAL hypercholesterolemia
Old-fashioned peanut butter; NEVER hydrogenated or with sugar. Smuckers is best.
Cheese, yogurt, buttermilk, unless allergic to milk

REMEMBER:

ADHD
I believe this disorder is grossly over diagnosed and that Ritalin should be reserved for those who fail to respond to the safe, conservative approach below. Furthermore, I think there is NEVER an excuse for Prozac® in this situation:
Lithium orotate, 5 to 45 mg daily. 5 mg for 50 pounds, gradually increasing to 45 mg by 150 pounds
Taurine, 1000 to 3000 mg daily
Biogenics® Magnesium Lotion, two teaspoons on skin once or twice daily
Photostimulation with the Shealy RelaxMate II ™, an hour daily.
Biogenics tapes—start with Basic Schultz daily
Avoid sugar, pop and aspartame
If all the above fail, I would use the SheLi TENS on the Rings of Air and Earth.
EEG biofeedback is also very good but requires one or two sessions a week for 6 months. I would recommend it only when the above is not effective.
ALCOHOLISM/ADDICTION
Basics plus:
Ring of Earth stimulation with SheLi TENS, plus stimulation of the addiction points, bilaterally.
Lithium orotate, 45 mg daily
Do the 90 DAYS TO STRESS-FREE LIVING program.
If not doing well within one month maximum, past life therapy.
ALLERGIES
Most allergies are at least aggravated by food allergies. Start by avoiding wheat, milk products, eggs, citrus, corn and peanuts, the most common food problems.
ADD:
- Beta-carotene 100,000 to 200,000 units daily
- Dr. Shealy’s YOUTH Formula, 4 daily---contains 2 grams vitamin C, 1 gram MSM, 6 mg beta 1,3 glucan and 60 mcg molybdenum
- Vitamin E 400 units
- Co-Q 10, 180 mg daily
- Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of chia seeds daily

ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE
Lecithin Granules, two heaping tablespoons twice daily
